Digital HD Platforms Will 'Get Smart' in August[teaser]The legendary comedy series from Mel Brooks and Buck Henry will make its digital debut in August. [/teaser] In celebration of the show's 50th Anniversary, HBO Home Entertainment has announced the upcoming Digital HD release of 'Get Smart.' All five seasons of the show will be available for download on August 10 across all major retailers. "You lucky dogs. You're gonna get to see Don Adams talking on his shoe telephone and watch the unbelievable antics of Maxwell Smart and The Chief trying to hear each other under The Cone of Silence," said Mel Brooks. "Can't wait to see it myself!" Full of bumbling spies, gadgets and gags, 'Get Smart' features the beloved characters Maxwell Smart/Agent 86 (Don Adams), Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon), and the Chief (Edward Platt) – members of a top secret U.S. government agency called CONTROL, who battle the forces of their nemesis KAOS, an equally inept foreign spy agency. The series was ahead of its time in the way that it created a vast, complicated mythology and mastered the art of self-referential comedy to reward its loyal audience for tuning in week after week. The series originally debuted on NBC in 1965 and enjoyed popularity and a cult following before moving to CBS for its final season. Since ending, it has inspired numerous spinoffs, sequels and remakes, including a 2008 summer box office hit starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. Suggested retail price for 'Get Smart' will start at $1.99 for each digital episode and $19.99 for each digital season.Posted Wed Jul 29, 2015 at 11:45 AM PDT by: -

LG Display Invests in Flexible OLED Panel Production[teaser]The company will increase production of flexible OLED screens. [/teaser] LG has announced a new 1.05 trillion Koeran Won investment in the development of flexible OLED screens. The money will be used to fund a 6th generation production line. The new OLED production line will be located in the Gumi Plant in Gyeongbuk Province, Korea and is expected to begin mass operations during the first half of 2017. The plant will produce 7,500 input sheets per month using a 6th Generation size substrate sheet of 1,500mm x 1,850mm, and can create more than 200 cuts of a 5.5-inch product from a single substrate. The bendable displays will be geared toward use in mobile, auto, and wearable devices. To achieve flexibility in the panel, the company uses a plastic substrate instead of the glass substrate used in traditional OLED displays. LG currently uses conventional OLED panels in its large-screen television lineup and previously mass produced the world’s first plastic substrate-based 6-inch flexible OLED smartphone panel in October 2013. With its reaffirmed commitment to the technology, LG hopes to become the flexible OLED market leader. Source: LGPosted Thu Jul 23, 2015 at 04:30 PM PDT by:
