'The Grand Tour' With Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May Heads to Amazon This Fall[teaser]The new streaming series from the former 'Top Gear' hosts has an official name. [/teaser] Amazon has revealed the official title for its new original series starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond & James May. The upcoming car show is called 'The Grand Tour' and will feature the trio as they travel around the world. "Thing is," said Jeremy Clarkson, "We'll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent. It's a sort of 'grand tour,' if you like. So we've decided to call it 'The Grand Tour.'" The Amazon Prime show will feature short films shot in different locations around the globe and the studio audience portion of the showcase will also take place at a different location around the world every week. The pre-recorded studio sections of the program will be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent. Therefore in this spirit of travel, adventure and intrigue, the presenters have decided to call the show 'The Grand Tour.' "Well, that took a while..." said Jay Marine, VP of Amazon Video Europe. NBC & NextVR Will Live Stream Kentucky Derby in Virtual Reality[teaser]Virtual reality coverage of the race will kick off on May 7. [/teaser] NBC Sports Group and NextVR have announced plans to offer a live virtual reality stream of the upcoming 2016 Kentucky Derby. This will be the first time that horse-racing has been covered in VR. "We are excited to bring the pageantry and passion experienced annually by those at the Kentucky Derby even closer to viewers at home with the new medium of live virtual reality," said Rob Hyland, coordinating producer of NBC Sports Group's Triple Crown horse racing coverage. Virtual Reality coverage of the Kentucky Derby will begin at 4 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, May 7. In addition, two races prior to the Kentucky Derby, including the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, will also be streamed in VR. Seven virtual reality cameras will be used to capture the race from Churchill Downs with five cameras placed trackside for an uninterrupted view of the race, and two cameras in the paddock area. The audio will include race call from NBC's Larry Collmus, along with commentary from NBC announcers Tom Hammond, Jerry Bailey and Randy Moss.
