Yamaha Details WX-010 Wireless MusicCast Speaker[teaser]A new MusicCast speaker has been revealed. [/teaser] Yamaha has announced its latest home audio product. The WX-010 Wireless Speaker ($200) is the company's newest device to feature MusicCast wireless multiroom audio support. "This is a very important new addition to the MusicCast line," said Bob Goedken, general manager, AV division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "It gives MusicCast users a way to bring music to small rooms and spaces where shelf or counter space is limited. It's also our most affordable MusicCast model, which makes it easy for anyone to start building a powerful multiroom audio system at home." The compact speaker features a 3.5 inch woofer and 1 inch tweeter on the front, along with dual opposing passive radiators on each side. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and DLNA connectivity are all included, allowing users to play music from mobile devices, computers, and network attached storage drives. Likewise, the speaker offers support for thousands of free Internet radio stations and several streaming audio services like Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, and SiriusXM Internet Radio. In addition, the WX-010 includes high-res music playback for Apple Lossless (ALAC) up to 96 kHz / 24-bit, as well as FLAC, AIFF and WAV files up to 192 kHz / 24-bit. Finally, the device also supports Yamaha's MusicCast wireless multiroom audio system. With MusicCast, users can stream music through a simple Android or iOS app, and easily link to other MusicCast speakers, AV receivers and Hi-Fi gear in other rooms to share music throughout the home. The WX-010 Wireless Speaker will be available in late August in black or white. Netflix & the CW Team Up for Exclusive US Streaming Deal[teaser]The streaming service is now the exclusive U.S. subscription television platform for CW programming. [/teaser] Netflix and the CW have announced a new multi-year content licensing agreement. As part of the deal, Netflix will remain the exclusive US streaming home for previous seasons of The CW Network's shows. "Since the initial landmark deal in 2011, The CW's programming has enjoyed tremendous success and increased exposure through Netflix, and our new agreement not only continues but enhances this valuable relationship," said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. "The CW has positioned itself for the future by transforming into a true hybrid network, rooted in broadcast while fully embracing the digital and streaming habits of the viewers." The agreement begins with the just completed 2015-2016 broadcast season, and coverage includes all current CW series, along with all future programs produced for the network during the term of the deal. In addition, starting with the 2016-2017 season, the partnership will allow Netflix users to stream full seasons for covered programs beginning eight days after each show's season finale. The CW streaming lineup on Netflix will include upcoming shows like 'Frequency,' 'No Tomorrow,' and 'Riverdale,' along with returning series like 'Legends of Tomorrow,' 'Supergirl,' 'Arrow,' 'Flash,' 'Jane the Virgin,' 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,' and more. Netflix Releases Trailer for 'BoJack Horseman' Season 3 Starring Will Arnett[teaser]A trailer for the animated comedy's third season has been revealed. [/teaser] Netflix has debuted the official trailer for 'BoJack Horseman' season three. The show will stream exclusively through Netflix on July 22. Will Arnett voices BoJack, the legendary 90's sitcom star, who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. The all-star voice cast includes Arnett as BoJack Horseman, Aaron Paul as Todd Chavez, Amy Sedaris as Princess Carolyn, Alison Brie as Diane Nguyen and Paul F. Tompkins as Mr. Peanutbutter. BoJack Horseman was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The series is executive produced by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright. Will Arnett (The Millers, Arrested Development) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) also serve as executive producers. BoJack Horseman was designed by graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt and animated by LA-based ShadowMachine. The show is a Tornante Production, brought to life by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company.
