Motorola Reveals Moto G, Moto X Play & Moto X Pure Edition Smartphones

A trio of new smartphones has been detailed. 

Motorola has officially unveiled the latest additions to its Moto G and Moto X mobile lineup. The Moto G, Moto X Play & Moto X Pure Edition are all highly customizable Android smartphones.

The Moto G features a 5-inch 720p display with 294 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the smartphone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 306 with 400 MHz GPU, and a 2470 mAh battery. In addition, options for 8 GB storage with 1 GB RAM or 16 GB storage with 2 GB RAM will be available. A 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera are integrated as well.

Meanwhile, the Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 403 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Motorola Mobile Computing System including a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core CPU, an Adreno 405 @ 550 MHz GPU, a Natural Language Processor, and Contextual Computing Processor. In addition, the phone uses 2GB of RAM and a 3630 mAh battery. A 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera are integrated as well.

Finally, the Moto X Pure Edition features a 5.7-inch Quad HD 1440x2560 display with 520 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Motorola Mobile Computing System including a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with hexa-core CPU, an Adreno 418 GPU, a Natural Language Processor, and a Contextual Computing Processor with 3GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh battery. A 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera are integrated as well.

The Moto G is now available for prices starting at $180. The Moto X Pure Edition will be available in the fall for prices starting at $400. Unfortunately, US availability for the Moto X Play has not been announced, but the smartphone will launch across Europe, Latin America, and Canada in August.
