Klipsch Details New Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio System[teaser]Six Klipsch Stream Wireless products have been revealed.[/teaser] Klipsch has fully detailed its new Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio Series with DTS Play-Fi support. The collection includes two sound bars (RSB-8 and RSB-14), a wireless speaker (RW-1), a table top stereo system (The Three), and two legacy source converters (Gate and PowerGate). "The new Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio System leads our commitment to innovation in the wireless multi-room audio market with a full-fledged offering of products providing high-resolution audio," said Paul Jacobs, president and CEO of Klipsch. "Throughout the product line we have incorporated new and existing Klipsch technology to bring the consumer Klipsch signature sound in every room of their house," added Jacobs. The Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio Series offers an ecosystem of sound bars, wireless speakers, and legacy source converters with DTS Play-Fi whole-home technology capable of wireless high resolution audio playback from streaming internet sources, locally stored content, and traditional audio sources. Likewise, Klipsch Stream Wireless products can be controlled by the Klipsch Stream app or the DTS Play-Fi app for iOS and Android platforms. The RSB-8 and RSB-14 Klipsch Reference sound bars feature HDMI input(s) and output with 4K Ultra HD Video pass-through, HDMI-ARC, and CEC. Likewise, the units include Bluetooth, optical, and RCA connectivity. The RSB-8 features a 40" wide sound bar and 6.5" wireless subwoofer. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line RSB-14 features a 44" wide sound bar and 8" wireless subwoofer. The RSB-8 ($499) and RSB-14 ($699) Klipsch Reference sound bars are both available now. Also part of the lineup, is the RW-1 Wireless Speaker. The unit can be controlled from a phone, tablet or computer and also offers integrated controls for power, volume, and mute on the top of the device. In addition, customers can pair two RW-1 wireless speakers together for stereo playback. The RW-1 ($249) is now available for purchase. For users looking to connect legacy audio sources (CD player, Turntable, etc) to their Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio System, the company offers the Klipsch Gate. The device can connect to any audio source through its 3.5mm analog audio input to play content throughout the home. Likewise, the Klipsch Gate can also route audio from the Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio System to an A/V receiver, amplifier, or set of powered speakers through the stereo miniplug output. The Klipsch Gate is shipping now for $179. In addition, the collection also includes the Klipsch PowerGate with a 2 x 100-watt class D amplifier for driving even the most difficult speaker. The device features optical, RCA line-in / phono pre-amp, USB, and Bluetooth inputs, along with 192kHz / 24-bit conversion for high resolution audio playback. The PowerGate is available now for an MSRP of $499. Finally, the company is also preparing the Klipsch Heritage Wireless Three tabletop stereo system. The product can be used as a standalone stereo system or integrated with the Klipsch Stream Wireless Multi-Room Audio system. [/teaser] Netflix has announced the latest casting addition for its new 'Lost in Space' series. According to Deadline, actress Parker Posey is set to play Dr. Smith. The role was previously played by Jonathan Harris in the original 1960s TV series and by Gary Oldman in the 1998 film. The show centers around the Robinson family, who is forced to come together in a time of crisis. Stranded light years from their intended destination, they find themselves battling a strange new alien environment and also their own personal demons. Equal parts family drama and sci-fi adventure, it is a survival story for the ages. In addition to Parker Posey, Toby Stephens ('Black Sails') is set star as John Robinson, patriarch of the Robinson family. In addition, Taylor Russell ('Falling Skies') will play the family's oldest daughter, Judy Robinson, and Maxwell Jenkins ('Sense8') has been cast as her younger brother, Will Robinson. 'Lost in Space' is being developed by feature writing team Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless ('Dracula Untold,' 'Last Witch Hunter'). Zack Estrin ('Prison Break') is on board as showrunner. Twitter Brings Live Streaming App to Android TV[teaser]The platform's streaming content is now available through Android TV.[/teaser] Twitter has announced the release of its streaming app for Android TV. The app offers access to live video content, tweets, and more. The Android TV Twitter app features all of the platform's live streaming content, including select NFL Thursday Night Football games, as well as videos from MLB Advanced Media, NBA, Pac 12 Networks, Campus Insiders, Cheddar and Bloomberg News. Likewise, users also get access to additional Twitter content like top Tweets, global Vines, and Periscopes. In addition to Android TV, the Twitter Live Streaming app is also available on Xbox One, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Apple TV (4th generation). The Apple TV app also includes an exclusive side-by-side video feature, allowing viewers to enjoy live premium video and check out Tweeted video clips at the same time.
