CES 2017: Logitech Announces G533 Wireless Gaming DTS Headphone: X Headset for PC[teaser]Wireless Surround PC audio in a sleek, svelte package. [/teaser] It's that new tech time of year, and today, Logitech unveiled a new headset design, the G533. The G533 is the successor of the legendary G930, and like that PC stalwart of yesteryear, the G533 is focused on delivering wireless surround sound on the PC in a lightweight package. Key among the G533's features is DTS Headphone: X, which uses the two Pro-G 40mm drivers to deliver 7.1 surround sound. The G533 uses a small USB receiver, which when combined with the Logitech Gaming Software and a PC, makes the G533 a robust and customizable headset. With LGS software, the G533 is meant not only for gaming but also for media and certainly for video content both with and without surround encodes. With a range of 15 meters, the G533 uses a proprietary wireless standard that promises to keep a strong connection even in saturated wireless areas. The 12.5-ounce headset uses removable sports mesh ear pads, and includes a foldable mic with a special built-in pop filter. The headset has a user-serviceable rechargeable battery which is rated at 15 hours of non-stop usage on a single charge. Onboard controls include a mic mute, customizable G-button and a volume wheel. Logitech has referred to the G533 as a "purist design," and indeed is refreshing to see a wireless headset focused on performance. The Logitech G533 is priced at $149.99, and should be available this month. (Check out our G533 review here.) Order from Amazon Source: LogitechPosted Wed Jan 4, 2017 at 12:01 AM PST by: -
