Streaming News Roundup: 'Castlevania,' 'Logan Lucky,' and More[teaser]Steven Soderbergh’s latest film and an animated Netflix adaptation of the Castlevania video game series are among the newest streaming announcements.[/teaser] Netflix and Amazon have released new trailers, date announcements, and other info for several of their upcoming shows and movies, including Flaked, Shimmer Lake, CounterPunch, Castlevania, Friends From College, Ozark, and Logan Lucky. In addition, Netflix has announced the cancellation of Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down. Check out a full rundown of the latest streaming news and trailers below: Flaked: Season Two (Netflix, June 2) - A dry human comedy about a slice of life centered on Chip, a celebrated long-time resident of the insular world of Venice, California who falls for the object of his best friend's fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Will Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies. As season two begins, Chip returns to Venice after a short exile and finds that he is persona non grata. No store, no friends, not even a guest house to live in, it’s a long road back to the way things were. Shimmer Lake (Netflix, June 9) - Unfolding in reverse time, this darkly comic crime thriller follows a local sheriff hunting three bank robbery suspects, one of whom is his brother. The movie is written and directed by Oren Uziel. The film stars Wyatt Russell, Rainn Wilson, Benjamin Walker, Adam Pally, John Michael Higgins, Ron Livingston and Rob Corddry. CounterPunch (Netflix, June 16) - Discipline, sweat, heartbreak and triumph are all on full display in director Jay Bulger’s look into the world of boxing. Despite the odds, these young boxers are determined to make a name for themselves alongside the sport’s most remembered and revered champions. With an unflinching look at the pain and pride needed to achieve greatness, CounterPunch will surely knock you out. Castlevania (Netflix, July 7) - Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar. Friends From College (Netflix, July 14) - A new Netflix Original Series from Nick Stoller (Neighbors, Neighbors: Sorority Rising, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek) and Francesca Delbanco. The husband and wife team serve as executive producers and writers on the series and Stoller directs all eight episodes. The eight episode series features an all star cast including Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, Annie Parisse, Nat Faxon, Fred Savage and Jae Suh Park. The show centers on a group of friends who went to Harvard together and are now facing down their forties and experiencing a range of success, or lack thereof, both professionally and domestically. With interwoven and oftentimes complicated relationships with one another, the series is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past. Ozark (Netflix, July 21) - The Byrdes, husband and wife Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney), their teenage kids Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner) -- are for all intents and purposes an ordinary family. Ordinary save for Marty’s job: The top money launderer for the second largest drug cartel in Mexico. Meanwhile, according to a report from Variety, Netflix has decided not to renew Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down for a second season. The cancellation likely comes as a result of the show's high cost (it was the most expensive original series in Netflix history) and its failure to garner a substantial audience. All eleven episodes of the first season are now available to stream on Netflix. Finally, Amazon has announced a deal to bring Steven Soderbergh's new film, Logan Lucky, to Prime Video during its exclusive first-run US streaming window in the first quarter of 2018. Prior to its streaming debut, the movie will first premiere in theaters on August 18, 2017. In addition, Amazon has also signed an exclusive two-year first-look deal with Steven Soderbergh and Dan Fellman's film distributor Fingerprint Releasing for its theatrical film projects. "We're thrilled to be working with the Fingerprint Releasing team," said Jason Ropell, Amazon’s Vice President of World Wide Movies. "The combination of a pioneering director, a compelling script and an A-list cast made this an easy decision. We strive to work with partners who bring innovative ideas to our service; with Fingerprint Releasing, Steven is creating a new paradigm for indies which can seriously compete with major studios on director and star-driven projects, and we’re excited to support that vision." Logan Lucky was written by Rebecca Blunt, produced by Gregory Jacobs, Mark Johnson, Reid Carolin and Channing Tatum, and executive produced by Michael Polaire, Dan Fellman, and NASCAR’s Zane Stoddard. Trying to reverse the infamous Logan Family Curse, brothers Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) and Clyde Logan (Adam Driver), along with sister Mellie Logan (Riley Keough) hook up with accomplice Joe Bang (Daniel Craig) to execute an impossibly elaborate robbery during the Coca-Cola 600, the biggest NASCAR race of the year. In addition to Tatum, Craig, Driver, MacFarlane, Swank, Keough, Waterston, Holmes and Stan, Logan Lucky also stars Dwight Yoakam, David Denman, Macon Blair, Jack Quaid and Brian Gleeson and features cameos from six NASCAR drivers. - A current Netflix subscription starts at $10 for HD streaming and $12 for Ultra HD streaming. - A current Amazon Prime subscription costs $99 per year or $11 per month. Likewise, Prime Instant Video is available as a standalone service for $9 per month. Sources: Netflix (YouTube), Amazon, VarietyPosted Mon May 29, 2017 at 06:30 AM PDT by: -

In addition, the 10-inch IPS display features wide-viewing-angles and quantum dot technology. Quantum dot tech places nano-crystals on a film over an LCD display's backlight. The nano-crystals then emit different colors when exposed to light depending on their size, offering a wider color range with higher brightness, deeper saturation, and better accuracy. Pricing and availability for the Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A50) has not been announced yet.
