The company's latest streaming speaker system offers wireless audio in a compact, convenient size.
Sonos has revealed the newest addition to its lineup of streaming speakers, the Play:1. With its small size and affordable price, the device promises high quality wireless audio without breaking the bank or taking up too much room.
The speaker is just 4.69-inches wide and 6.36-inches tall, and features minimal distortion and a wide soundfield through a custom designed 3.5-inch mid-woofer for deep lows and a tweeter for clean highs. The Play:1 also supports several streaming services, including Spotify, Rdio, Pandora and Hype Machine, as well as radio stations and digital libraries on PCs, Android, and Apple devices. Users can also pair two Play:1 speakers together for stereo audio, or even add a Sonos Sub ($699) and Playbar ($699) for surround sound capabilities.
The Sonos Play:1 is now available in the US for a suggested retail price of $199, and as part of a limited time promotion, purchasers of the Play:1, Play:3 ($299), or Play:5 ($399) will also receive a free Sonos Bridge ($49).
