The HD mobile devices are now available directly from the company's online store.
Sony's latest Android smartphones have officially been released in the US. The new models include the 5-inch Xperia Z1 and the extra large 6.4-inch Xperia Z Ultra.
Both models feature waterproof designs and are powered by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad Core processor with 2GB of RAM running Android 4.2. The Xperia Z1 includes a 5-inch 1080p TRILUMINOS display, along with a 20.7MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. It is rated for up to 14 hours of talktime.
Meanwhile, the Xperia Z Ultra is said to be the world's thinnest and largest smartphone, and features a tablet-like 6.4-inch 1080p display that can be used with pencils, selected stylus, and pens. The device also includes an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera, and is rated for up to 16 hours of talk time.
The Xperia Z1 is on sale now at Sony's mobile store starting at $670. The Xperia Z Ultra is also available now starting at a suggested retail price of $650.
