Dirac Reveals New Dirac Live Bass Management Solution[teaser]The new bass management tool will be featured in several AV products.[/teaser] Dirac has unveiled its latest audio room acoustics and correction solution for the consumer AV market. Designed to serve as a modular add-on for Dirac Live, the new Dirac Live Bass Management process is capable of optimizing subwoofer and speaker bass performance throughout a user's room. "Even the most high-end hardware possesses certain performance deficiencies – ones that can only be resolved through an understanding of the room itself," stated Niklas Thorin, Dirac’s GM of High Performance Audio. "However, while Dirac Live offered new standards in room correction and speaker phase correction, it left one area – the subwoofer’s low-frequency bass tones – unaddressed. The new Dirac Live Bass Management now equips installers and their customers with a tool that addresses this final frontier, moving them one step closer to acoustical perfection." Dirac Live Bass Management is available for Single-Sub configurations ($249) and Multi-Sub setups ($399). The process measures and phase corrects a user's subwoofers and speakers across all frequencies, identifying gaps in sound waves while distributing bass more evenly around the listening area. As a result, customers can gain more flexibility when it comes to subwoofer placement, allowing units to be positioned anywhere in a room without hindering performance. Products set to feature Dirac Live Bass Management include NAD's M10 BluOS streaming amplifier and C658 BluOS streaming DAC; StormAudio's full line of processors and amps; and several AVR models from Arcam and JBL Synthesis. Dirac Live Bass Management will be demoed at CEDIA 2019 on Wednesday, September 11 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. "Whether an audiophile, a movie buff, or a casual TV viewer, every customer deserves the best performance from their system," Thorin concluded. "Dirac Live Bass Management delivers just that, and we are excited to showcase it to the residential AV market at CEDIA 2019." Source: DiracPosted Wed Aug 21, 2019 at 06:00 AM PDT by: -
