The movie is set to premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 17 and will then be available for streaming exclusively through Netflix on March 18. A fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny. Pee-wee's Big Holiday stars Paul Reubens as the beloved fun-loving hero of TV, stage, and film, Pee-wee Herman. Reubens teams up with Judd Apatow ('Anchorman,' 'Bridesmaids') to produce, and Paul Rust ('Comedy Bang! Bang!,' 'Arrested Development') to write. John Lee ('Broad City,' 'Inside Amy Schumer') makes his feature film directorial debut. The film also stars Joe Manganiello, Stephanie Beatriz, and Alia Shawkat. Sony Launches Pre-Orders for 2016 4K Ultra HD TV Lineup with HDR, Prices Start at $2,500[teaser]The company's new 4K Ultra HD TVs are now available for pre-order. [/teaser] Following their debut at CES back in January, Sony has announced full pricing and availability for its 2016 4K Ultra HD TVs. The lineup includes the XBR-X850D and the XBR-X930D/XBR-X940D series with models ranging in size from 55-inches to 85-inches. SyFy Readies New Virtual Reality Series 'Halcyon' for Oculus Rift[teaser]The new show will feature a mixture of standard and virtual reality episodes. [/teaser] NBCUniversal has announced plans to develop a SyFy series for TV, streaming and VR exhibition. Titled 'Halcyon,' the show is a short-form scripted science fiction police procedural. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Halcyon' takes place in 2058 in a future society where virtual reality is now commonplace. When an actual murder occurs in virtual reality, detective Julie Dover takes on the case. The series is being produced by Canadian digital studio Secret Location and will be directed by Benjamin Arfmann. The initial order will comprise of 15 episodes. 10 of those episodes will be designed for traditional viewing on SyFy channels and websites. In addition, 5 episodes are being developed exclusively for the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality platform, offering an immersive viewing experience. A premiere date for the series has not been announced yet. "Syfy has consistently broken new ground with its television series and we’re excited to work with them on this new multiplatform project," said James Milward, president, Secret Location when speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. "VR is being exposed to more and more people and with projects like Halcyon, we intend to help this immersive form of entertainment grow." The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset designed with advanced optics, a wide field of view, a high refresh rate, and precise, low-latency constellation tracking. Together, these technologies help to create convincing VR movies, shows, and games with a genuine sense of presence. A premiere date for the series has not been announced yet. Netflix Debuts New Trailer for Marvel's 'Daredevil'[teaser]The Man Without Fear is returning for a second season and the official trailer has been revealed. The show is based on the Marvel comic book, and season two will see the addition of popular characters like The Punisher and Elektra. Univision Deportes Streams Live 4K Soccer Broadcast to Sony Ultra HD TVs[teaser]The broadcaster has delivered a live 4K stream for a soccer match. [/teaser] Univision has partnered with Sony, NeuLion, Inc. and NEP to stream a live soccer game in 4K Ultra HD resolution. The stream took place on February 10 and involved a friendly game between Mexico's National Team and Senegal at Marlins Park in Miami, Florida. "NeuLion has worked with our partners to create the only end-to-end solution on the market for the delivery, monetization and distribution of 4K video at 60 frames per second on the world's most popular devices. We're very excited to partner with Univision and Sony to put that solution to work," said Dr. Kanaan Jemili, CEO of NeuLion.
