The 5.5-inch Quad HD smartphone has been fully detailed.
After months of speculation, LG has finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone. As previous rumors suggested, the G3 will indeed feature a Quad HD display along with other impressive specs and a focus on improved user experiences.
"The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualize that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result."
The G3 uses a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel density of 538ppi. Under the hood, the mobile device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, 2 or 3GB RAM options, 16 or 32GB storage options, and a removable 3,000mAh battery all running Android 4.4.2. A 13MP rear camera with OIS+ and Laser Auto Focus technology, and a 2.1MP front camera are included as well. In addition, the phone features a Floating Arc design, LG's Rear Key button placement, and a metallic skin with matte finish on the rear cover for a sleek and ergonomic construction.
Exact pricing and availability have not been announced yet, but the LG G3 smartphone will launch in South Korea on May 28 and then expand worldwide.
