Sanyo Releases World’s Brightest Ultra Portable Projector

At 3.4kg, the LP-XU106 is ultra light and surprisingly bright.
This sub eight pound projector boasts an impressive 4,500 lumens, the highest in its class. The projector offers a contrast of 1,000:1 and has a few functions that make setup a bit easier.
Chief among these is the aptly named “Easy Setup Function” which helps users get things going without too much hassle. Keystone Correction is also included for those times where the projector is just a bit off. Sanyo’s LP-XU106 will be available in late November according to Akihabara News, but no pricing has been announced.

Knoll’s New High End DLP Projectors

Easy set up makes these projector's an installer’s dream.
The first line of projectors built from the ground up by Kevin Knoll and the Knoll team, Knoll’s new HDP1100 and HDP1200 are getting a lot of love. Richard Hanson, Knoll’s VP of Sales and Marketing commented “The HDP1000 series projectors have met with high approval -- from installers who are thrilled with the easy set-up -- to experienced video enthusiasts who are amazed with the rich, dynamic, detailed picture.”
The HDP1100, a short throw projector and the HDP1200, its long throw companion have quite an impressive feature set. From a 2D lens shift to make exact placement a bit less necessary, to Deep Color capability and built in firmware for anamorphic 2.35:1 picture, these 1080p projectors have a lot to offer.
The projectors, calibrated to D65 in the factory, are available now from authorized resellers at $5999 for the HDP1100 and 6799 for the HDP1200.
