The show offers a personal look into each chef's life and work, elaborating on their cooking style, inspirations, backgrounds, and goals. Onkyo Readies New Home Theater Systems, Including Dolby Atmos/DTS:X Model for $999[teaser]Two new home theater systems have been announced. [/teaser] Onkyo has detailed the latest additions to its home theater lineup. The HT-S7800 5.1.2 Channel Network Home Theater System and the HT-S3800 5.1 Channel Home Theater System are both set for release in May. The HT-S7800 is a 5.1.2 system with object based audio support. The receiver is powered by discrete non-phase amps with 170W/ch, a 384 kHz/32-bit high-grade DAC, and VLSC noise-free processing. In addition, the unit offers 4K/60 Hz video pass-through with High Dynamic Range (HDR) 4:4:4 color space, and BT.2020, along with 4K up-scaling from 1080p. Likewise, integrated Dolby Atmos support is included and DTS:X support will be added through a firmware update scheduled for this summer. Google Cast, Wi-Fi, FireConnect, AirPlay, and Bluetooth connectivity are supported as well. Finally, the system also includes high-fidelity speakers. The front and center two-way speakers include pairs of Onkyo Micro Fiber (OMF) aramid-laminated woofers for accurate sound. Likewise, the front left and right speaker cabinets also house full-range acoustic-suspension Dolby Atmos-enabled height speakers capable of bouncing sound off the ceiling. A powered 120W subwoofer is featured as well. Meanwhile, the entry level HT-S3800 is a compact and affordable 5.1 system. The receiver uses 100 W/ch analog amplifiers with discrete output circuitry. Likewise, the unit includes support for 4K/60 Hz, 4:4:4 color space, HDR, and BT.2020 playback with HDCP 2.2 copy protection. Bluetooth connectivity is included as well. NBC's Seeso Comedy Streaming Service Heads to Amazon Prime[teaser]Customers will soon be able to subscribe to the digital comedy service through Amazon. HBO NOW Standalone Streaming Service Arrives on Xbox One & Samsung Smart TVs[teaser]The premium cable network's standalone streaming platform is now available on more devices. [/teaser] HBO has announced the addition of HBO NOW to the Xbox One and select Samsung Smart TVs. The premium streaming service initially launched exclusively on Apple devices, and offers full access to the network's library of new and archive programming. The announcement comes just in time for the sixth season premiere of 'Game of Thrones' on April 24. HBO NOW allows users to watch every episode of every season of HBO’s original programming, hit movies, documentaries, sports and exclusive comedy specials separate from a traditional cable or satellite subscription. Sling TV Adds Viacom Networks to Single and Multi-Stream Services[teaser]Viacom channels are coming to the internet TV service. [/teaser] DISH and Viacom have announced a multi-year contract renewal. As part of the deal, Viacom's channels will remain available through DISH. In addition, Viacom content will soon be available through the Sling TV single and multi-stream services. Amazon Expands Fire Tablet Lineup with 16GB Model and More Color Options[teaser]The company's fastest-selling tablet is now available with new storage and color choices. [/teaser] Amazon has announced the release of three new color options for its affordable Fire Tablet. Likewise, the device is also now available in a 16GB model, joining the previously released 8GB version. Comcast Announces Xfinity TV Partner App for Samsung Smart TVs & Roku Devices[teaser]Customers will soon be able to access their Xfinity TV service without a cable box. [/teaser] Comcast has announced the launch of the Xfinity TV Partner Program. Using open standard technologies, the program aims to expand the Xfinity TV service beyond standard set-top boxes, allowing users to view their cable subscription directly through smart TVs and other IP-enabled devices. Initial partners in the program include Samsung and Roku. "Samsung is excited to collaborate with Comcast in new and innovative ways to deliver content into the homes of our customers," said Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President, Samsung Electronics. "Samsung is focused on delivering the highest quality experience to our consumers while providing them with a variety of choices to access their favorite content. This year, with our new Smart TV interface, it’s easier than ever for Comcast subscribers to find and enjoy their favorite TV shows, movies and on demand services." With the Xfinity TV Partner app for 2016 Samsung Smart TVs, Comcast subscribers will soon be able to watch their cable service directly through their TVs without the need to lease a separate box.
