The company's new Blu-ray player offers expanded connectivity and high-grade design.
Yamaha has announced the release of its latest Blu-ray player, the Aventage BD-A1040. The premium home theater device joins the company's existing high-end Aventage AV receiver line.
"The same painstaking craftsmanship and attention to detail our engineers place on our AVENTAGE AV receivers has been applied to the BD-A1040, giving consumers the purest audio and video quality for all TV watching and home theater experiences," said Bob Goedken, general manager, AV Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "The superior performance, convenience and flexibility of this universal Blu-ray Disc player cannot be overstated."
The Aventage BD-A1040 features a high-grade aluminum front panel and a symmetrical audio circuitry design with 192 kHz/32-bit DAC and gold-plated output terminals. The player also offers 1080p/24 Hz HDMI video output, x.v.Color and Deep Color support, and Blu-ray 3D, SACD, and DVD-Audio playback. In addition, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are integrated as well, and the device includes access to VUDU, Dropbox, YouTube Leanback and Picasa Web Albums, as well as Miracast capabilities for streaming from smartphones and tablets.
Yamaha's Aventage BD-A1040 will start shipping this month for a suggested retail price of $449.95.
