The Last Voyage of the Demeter Travels Oceans of Time to Blu-ray October 17th
The stylish creepy adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula middle chapter comes home in time for Halloween.
Catching this in theaters, I thought it was a solid flick, a little unevenly paced -- especially leading into the third act -- but it was a damn fun creepy new take on Bram Stoker's classic vampire. Was Stoker's middle chapter enough to sustain a full two-hour movie? Maybe, maybe not, but we got one of the creepiest designs for our favorite blood-feeding beast ever committed to film. There's also some perfectly good nightmare fuel inside this stylish flick. Not perfect, but I enjoyed it, and now I can watch it again in the comfort of my own home. Sadly at this time, it's another Blu-ray-only release begging all collectors to wonder how long before the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray arrives? But hey, at least there's Atmos!
