The company has detailed its first pico projector.
Sony has announced the latest addition to its projector lineup. The MP-CL1 is a compact, mobile HD projector.
"This is Sony's first stand-alone Pico projector, but not our first projector," said Viviano Cantu, Director Product Marketing, Media & Applications Solutions Division. "We combined the best of everything we've learned over years of designing large and small projection technologies for the home and office, and the result is this on-the-go mobile projector that easily turns virtually any surface into an HD theater through a simple Wi-Fi or HDMI connection."
The portable short throw projector uses Laser Beam Scanning tech to deliver 1920 x 720 resolution images. The device also features an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, WiFi or HDMI/MHL connectivity, and an integrated 3400mAh battery. In addition, the MP-CL1 can display a screen size of up to 120-inches and is capable of focus-free projection.
Sony's MP-CL1 will be available in October for $350.
