Sony has unveiled a new Ultra HD display model with a curved-screen design.
Joining Samsung and LG's 4K curved-screen offerings, Sony has now detailed its own upcoming Ultra HD TV with a contoured display. The S90 promises impressive picture quality and an enhanced level of immersion.
The S90 will come in 65-inch and 75-inch models and will feature a subtle curved-screen that is said to be less concave than LG and Samsung's models. Each set offers an Ultra HD resolution of 3840x2160, along with TRILUMINOS Display tech, Sony's 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine for UHD upscaling, and X-tended Dynamic Range for improved contrast and blacks. In addition, the TV includes active 3D support and an integrated 4.2ch Multi-angle Live Speaker system with an optional wireless subwoofer.
US pricing and availability have not been announced yet, but in China the 65-inch model is expected to ship for about $5,360 and the 75-inch model is expected to ship for about $8,110.
