Netflix Announces Summer Movie Lineup, Including Exclusive Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm & Pixar Streaming

The streaming service has announced its upcoming slate of summer titles.  

With the summer movie watching season just around the corner, Netflix has revealed its upcoming schedule of streaming movies. Highlights include recent Academy Award-winners like 'Spotlight' and 'The Big Short,' and the exclusive rights to new Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm titles.

Here's a rundown of several new, classic, and original movies heading to the US Netflix library in the coming months:

June

- 'Jurassic Park,' 'Jurassic Park: The Lost World,' and 'Jurassic Park 3 '(June 1)
- 'Spotlight' (June 22)
- 'The Fundamentals of Caring' (June 24)

July

- 'The Big Short' (July 6)
- 'Brahman Naman' (July 7)
- 'Tallulah' (July 29)
- 'Back to The Future' & 'Lethal Weapon'

August

- 'The Little Prince'
- 'The Fast & The Furious' 'The Wedding Planner' and 'St. Vincent.'

September Onwards

- Starting in September, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home for the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar.
- 'Mascots' and 'War Machine' 

Beyond the aforementioned titles above, other upcoming Netflix premieres include season two of 'Chef's Table' on May 27, 'Bloodline' season two on May 27, 'The Do-Over' on May 27, 'Voltron: Legendary Defender' on June 10, season four of 'Orange is the New Black' on June 17, 'Marco Polo' season two on July 1, the documentary 'Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru' on July 15, 'Project Mc2' season two on August 12, and 'The Crown' on November 4. Likewise, the streaming platform is also prepping a new sci-fi series called 'Travelers' from writer Brad Wight.

A current Netflix subscription starts at $10 for HD streaming and $12 for Ultra HD streaming.
