More Apps Arrive on Chromecast

Google has added Chromecast support for several apps, including WatchESPN. 

Google has announced updates to several iOS and Android apps, giving them full Chromecast capabilities. The new supported services include WatchESPN, MLS, Google+, and Crunchyroll.

Users with access to ESPN through affiliated cable or satellite providers can now stream live sports content to their Chromecast with the WatchESPN app. This includes all 64 games of the upcoming FIFA World Cup and the rest of ESPN's continuous sports coverage. Likewise, the premium MLS Matchday and MLS Live apps will also support the Chromecast, offering even more streaming soccer content. Meanwhile, Google has added a casting option to its Google+ app as well, letting users send photos and videos to their TVs. Finally, the anime video service Crunchyroll is also joining the Chromecast streaming lineup, offering 25,000 videos and 12,000 hours of Anime, Korean Drama and Live-Action titles.

All of the updated apps can be downloaded from the Play Store and Apple Store, and Chromecast support is being added throughout the day. The Google Chromecast is on sale now for just $30.
