Pricing has been announced for the company's first Atmos-enabled receiver.
Marantz has revealed more details on its upcoming SR7009 AV receiver. The audio device will retail for $2,000 and offers support for a variety of Dolby Atmos configurations, letting customers add special ceiling height speakers for increased immersion in their surround sound setups.
The SR7009 is a 9.2 channel receiver with 125 watts/channel. In addition, the receiver offers support for 5.1.2, 5.1.4, and 7.1.2 Atmos setups. Likewise, customers can add a separate stereo amplifier to expand the support to 7.1.4 and 9.1.2 Atmos configurations. Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth capabilities, HDMI 2.0 connections, and 4K passthrough are included as well. Meanwhile, the company is also releasing the new SR6009 7.2 channel receiver. While the audio device does not include Dolby Atmos support, it does offer 110 watts/channel and many of the same features as its step up model.
The SR7009 ($2,000) and the SR6009 ($1,300) are both set for a September release.
