The company's new OLED display collection will launch in April.
LG has announced official pricing and availability for its 2019 OLED 4K ThinQ TV lineup. The collection includes the W9 Series, E9 Series, and C9 Series. Select displays will start hitting stores in April, with more models set to arrive in May and June.
"LG OLED is already widely recognized as the best TV technology in the market. In 2019 we're building on that legacy of leadership by using cutting-edge processing technology based on Deep Learning," said Tim Alessi, head of home entertainment product marketing at LG Electronics USA. “This will elevate picture and sound quality even further, solidifying the reputation of LG OLED as the best picture available. The addition of Alexa and Apple AirPlay 2 to our ThinQ platform combines with the built-in Google Assistant making them the easiest to use as well. It will certainly be an exciting year of amazing TV options from LG."
All of LG's 2019 4K OLED TVs use the company's new Alpha 9 Gen 2 Processor. Thanks to the processor's deep learning algorithm, the sets can optimize picture and sound quality based on the source content being played, along with the ability to adjust their tone mapping curve and screen brightness to better match ambient lighting conditions in a user's room. Likewise, Dolby's latest imaging innovations allow the TVs to intelligently configure Dolby Vision content for varying ambient light as well. And beyond video, the 2019 OLED's also provide Dolby Atmos support and the ability to up-mix two-channel audio to virtual 5.1 surround sound.
Meanwhile, when it comes to AI services, 2019 OLED ThinQ TVs once again feature built-in Google Assistant functionality, along with newly added support for Amazon Alexa. HDMI 2.1 ports are also implemented, offering support for high frame rate (HFR) 120 fps playback and enhanced audio return channel (eARC). Likewise gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and an automatic low latency mode (ALLM) are supported as well.

Beyond the company's standard 4K OLED TVs, LG's upcoming 2019 lineup will also include the Z9 8K 88-inch OLED TV, the Rollable SIGNATURE OLED TV R (model 65R9), and several new NanoCell LCD TVs. Pricing and availability for those models have not been announced yet.
