The new player is designed to support virtually all digital audio formats.
Harman has revealed its latest audio component. The Mark Levinson № 519 Digital Player is an ultra high-end device that includes robust audio playback support.
"We created the Mark Levinson № 519 to be nothing less than the optimal digital music playback component for the way today’s listeners access their music," said Jim Garrett, Director of Marketing and Product Management, HARMAN. "The № 519 lets music lovers enjoy music from nearly any source experience whether it’s the latest high-resolution streaming audio format, their CD collection or even from their mobile devices."
The Mark Levinson № 519 Digital Player features an integrated high-resolution DAC with an ESS Sabre32 Reference converter, an embedded Linux computer, a proprietary Mark Levinson discrete, direct coupled, fully balanced, dual-monaural signal path, a 6000-series aluminum housing in black with silver trim, and a front-panel color display. USB, Gigabit Ethernet, Balanced, Optical, Coaxial, headphone, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth with aptX connectivity options are included as well. Playback features include an integrated slot-loading CD player and support for high-resolution digital decoding up to 24-bit, 192kHz from PCM and double-speed DSD. Finally, the device also offers access to Spotify Connect, TIDAL, QOBUZ, Deezer, Rhapsody, and Napster.
Pricing has not been detailed yet, but the Mark Levinson № 519 Digital Player will be available in July.
