Out ahead of the 'Bloodfall' DLC next week.

The fifth major update for id Software's 'DOOM' is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This update focuses all on the game's multiplayer, and it adds in one of the most requested features — bots.Players can now play 'DOOM's Team Deathmatch and Deatmatch modes against AI. This feature had been requested since the first multiplayer beta for the first-person shooter, so it's great to see id Software managing to add it in.

Other additions include the level cap being boosted. The new highest rank that players can achieve is Echelon 11, and those that do so will unlock the 'DOOM' Marine Armor as a reward. On top of that, a new multiplayer mode called Infernal Run has also been added. This team-based mode has players fighting for control of an eyeball that has to be thrown into the opponent's goal in order to score.
