Coming Soon to Blu-ray: FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, INSTANT FAMILY, and More
Mark Wahlberg, Rose Byrne, an army of zombies, and more are all heading to Blu-ray.
Pre-orders are now available for several upcoming Blu-rays from Universal, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., Paramount, BBC, and Starz / Anchor Bay.
Here's a full rundown of recently revealed details and title announcements:
First up, Universal will release Matthew Heineman's A Private War starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, and Tom Hollander on February 5. Supplements will include:
- Becoming Marie Colvin: How Rosamund Pike transformed herself for A Private War
- Women in the World Summit Q&A: Featuring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan and Director Matthew Heineman, moderated by Tina Brown
- Requiem for A Private War: Inspiration behind award-winning musician Annie Lennox's song
The studio will also bring Ron Underwood's Heart and Souls starring Robert Downey, Jr., Charles Grodin, and Kyra Sedgwick to Blu-ray on February 5. Supplements have not been announced at this time.
In addition, Richard Attenborough's Shadowlands starring Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, and Julian Fellowes is in the works for February 5 as well. Supplements are not currently listed for the disc.
Likewise, Jonathan Lynn's Greedy starring Michael J. Fox, Kirk Douglas, and Nancy Travis will also hit Blu-ray on February 5. Supplements have not been revealed.
Syfy's Nightflyers: Season One starring Jodie Turner-Smith and Gretchen Mol will then follow on February 12. No supplements are currently listed for the release.
Meanwhile, Ali Abbasi's Border starring Eva Melander, Eero Milonoff, and Jörgen Thorsson is being prepped for Blu-ray on February 26. No special features have been announced.
And rounding out Universal's upcoming lineup will be Brady Corbet's Vox Lux starring Natalie Portman and Jude Law on March 5. Supplements will include:
- "Wrapped Up" Music Video
- Trailer
Lionsgate is prepping Matthew Hope's All the Devil's Men starring Sylvia Hoeks, William Fichtner, and Milo Gibson for Blu-ray on February 5. Supplements have not been detailed yet.
In addition, the studio is bringing Julian Schnabel's At Eternity's Gate starring Willem Dafoe and Rupert Friend to Blu-ray on February 12. Supplements will include:
- “Made by a Painter” Featurette
- “Channeling Van Gogh” Featurette
- “Vision of Van Gogh” Featurette
- Audio Commentary with Director Julian Schnabel and Cowriter and Coeditor Louise Kugelberg
Brian A. Miller and Ryan Guzman's Backtrace starring Sylvester Stallone and Matthew Modine will then follow on February 19. No supplements are currently listed for the disc.
Meanwhile, Maria Pulera's Between Worlds starring Nicolas Cage and Penelope Mitchell is set to hit Blu-ray on February 26. Supplements have not been announced at this time.
And rounding out Lionsgate's upcoming lineup will be Kristoffer Nyholm's The Vanishing starring Gerard Butler, Peter Mullan, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson on March 5. Supplements will include:
- Emerging from the Darkness: The Vanishing - Featurette
Warner Bros. is set to release Rick and Morty: The Complete Seasons 1 - 3 starring Justin Roiland, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Sarah Chalke on February 12. Supplements will likely mirror those found on the individual season releases.
In addition, the studio is prepping The Last Ship: The Complete Fifth Season and The Last Ship: The Complete Series starring Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, and Adam Baldwin for Blu-ray on March 12. Supplements for The Complete Series will include:
- Never-before-seen roundtable discussion with show creators and Naval experts discussing the development of the series as well as the collaboration with the U.S. Navy throughout all five seasons
- Behind-the-scenes featurettes
- An inside look at various episodes
- A 20-minute documentary showcasing how season four follows Homer’s The Odyssey with Vincent Farenga, Professor of Classics and Comparative Literature at University of Southern California
Meanwhile, Tetsuo Yajima's Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us starring Emily Bauer, Sam Black, and Kathryn Cahill will then follow on March 19. Supplements have not been announced yet.
As previously reported, Paramount is bringing Tyler Perry's Nobody's Fool starring Missi Pyle, Tiffany Haddish, Courtney Henggeler, and Whoopi Goldberg to Blu-ray on February 12, and newly announced supplements will include:
- Introduction by Tyler Perry & Tiffany Haddish – A special message from the writer/director and the star of Tyler Perry's Nobody's Fool.
- Deleted, Extended & Alternate Scenes – Over 20 minutes of even more outrageous footage you didn't see in theaters!
- Gag Reel – Enjoy more laughs with this side-splittingly funny gag reel.
- 9 Hilarious Featurettes!
Meanwhile, Sean Anders' Instant Family starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne will then follow on March 5. Supplements will include:
- Deleted & Extended Scenes
- Gag Reel
- Commentary by director/writer Sean Anders and writer John Morris
- Mr. and Mrs. Fix-It—Behind the scenes with Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne
- Kid Power—Meet the talented young cast

The BBC is set to release Doctor Who: Resolution starring Jodie Whittaker and Bradley Walsh on February 19. Supplements will include:

In addition, the label is bringing Doctor Who: Tom Baker - Complete Season Seven starring Tom Baker to Blu-ray on March 19. Supplements will include:
- A new Making-Of documentary and updated special effects for Logopolis
- Revealing new 2019 commentaries moderated by Matthew Sweet (Tom Baker on The Leisure Hive, Lalla Ward & Rachel Davies on State Of Decay)
- New surround sound mix for Warriors Gate

Starz / Anchor Bay AMC's is preparing Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season starring Kim Dickens, Lennie James, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Ruben Blades, and Colman Domingo for Blu-ray on March 5. Supplements will include:
- Episode 401 Audio Commentary with Executive Producer Scott Gimple, Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg
- Episode 405 Audio Commentary with Director Michael Satrazemis, Actors Jenna Elfman and Garret Dillahunt
