The affordable tablet is geared toward families.
Acer has detailed its latest tablet model. The Iconia One 8 (B1-850) is a budget priced tablet designed for families, children or novice users.
The tablet features an 8-inch HD IPS display with 10-point multi-touch. Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor and 1GB DDR3L RAM running Android 5.1. A 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera are integrated as well. In addition, the model includes 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. Battery life is rated for about nine hours. Likewise, the tablet offers parental controls and a special Kids Center app with a simplified interface and child-friendly content.
Acer's Iconia One 8 (B1-850) will be available in February with prices starting at $100.
