Yamaha Details BD-S477BL Blu-ray Player

The upcoming model offers a solid array of features at an affordable price point. 

Yamaha has revealed its latest Blu-ray player, the BD-S477BL. The new player joins the previously announced Aventage BD-A1040 premium model.

The BD-S477BL offers playback support for standard Blu-rays, DVDs, and CDs. Likewise, the device is DLNA certified and also features integrated Wi-Fi connectivity for streaming media, Miracast linking for transmitting content directly from smartphones and tablets, and a Picasa Web Album function for viewing pictures. In addition, a front USB port is included as well, and the player offers support for the Yamaha AV Controller App on iOS and Android devices.

Yamaha's BD-S477BL will be available later this month for a suggested retail price of $229.95.
