'The Girl Who Played with Fire' Announced for Blu-ray

The sequel to the acclaimed award-winning Swedish crime thriller is coming to Blu-ray in October.

Music Box Films is preparing 'The Girl Who Played with Fire,' starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, for a Blu-ray release on October 26.

The film is the follow-up to 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' directed by Niels Arden Oplev released on Blu-ray on July 6.

The third film in the series based on the "Millennium Trilogy" novels by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson - 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest,' is apparently planned for a release later this year.

Specs and supplements haven't been confirmed yet, but suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $34.95.
