The company's upcoming displays have been revealed.
Sharp has announced its latest Ultra HD TV lineup. The upcoming collection of 4K displays includes seven series in sizes ranging from 43-inches to 70-inches.
"The Sharp brand has long been esteemed in the TV industry for pioneering sophisticated picture technologies and creating the big screen category," said Mary O'Neill, Sharp Brand Marketing Manager. "2016 will be no different, with unique viewing features coupled with paramount quality, immense screen sizes and high value."
The flagship 70-inch N9100U flat-screen Ultra HD TV ($3,300) and the 65-inch N9000U curved-screen 3D Ultra HD TV (3,000) will both feature full array local dimming and SPECTROS quantum dot technology to achieve 91 percent of the Rec.2020 color space. In addition, both models include support for the Open HDR standard, octa-core processors, and VP9 and HEVC encoding. Likewise, the 70-inch N8100U Ultra HD TV ($2,300) will also offer HDR and full array local dimming, while the 75-inch N8000U Series Ultra HD TV ($3,000) will offer HDR and multi-zone edge-lit local dimming. Next up, the 70-inch N7100U Ultra HD TV ($2,000) is HDR-enabled with full array local dimming, while the N7000U Series (43-inches to 65-inches) and the entry-level N6000U Series (43-inches to 55-inches) are also HDR-enabled.
Sharp's entire 4K Ultra HD TV lineup will be on display at CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9. The N9000 series is expected to start shipping in mid 2016. For full specs and prices please check out the company's complete press materials here.
