The 2014 models offer improved specs at affordable prices.
Dell has officially announced new editions of its Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets. The upcoming devices are geared toward productivity and entertainment applications and feature convenient, light designs.
"The Dell Venue tablets and Inspiron 2-in-1s are designed to be essential companions to power projects, provide entertainment, and share meaningful moments with family and friends," said Sam Burd, vice president and general manager, Dell Personal Computing Product Group. "Dell customers have more flexibility than ever before to have their technology move with them throughout the day and become a seamless part of their lives."
The Venue 7 is powered by an Atom Z3460 CPU and features a 7-inch 1280x800 display. A 5MP rear camera and 1MP front camera are also included. Meanwhile, the Venue 8 is powered by an Atom Z3480 processor and uses an 8-inch 1920x1200 screen. A 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera are integrated as well. In addition, both tablets come in red or black options and run Android 4.4 with 16GB of storage.
Dell's 2014 Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets will start shipping on July 1 for a suggested retail price of $160 and $200 respectively. The 2013 Venue 7 and Venue 8 models are currently on sale for $119 and $145 repectively through Amazon.
