CBS Takes A Stab at Designing a Video Game Controller

During Saturday's devastation of Alabama's National Championship plans by Texas A&M, CBS displayed their concept for a console controller as a way to illustrate quarterback Johnny Manziel's arsenal of moves.

Not only did they display a fully featured controller design, but CBS went so far as to animate the controller set to footage of the elusive quarterback running against SMU.

Sadly, CBS was forced to use classic 'Super Mario Bros.' music and sound FX as no game made in the intervening twenty-five years could so capture their vision of what a video game is.

As notated by Kotaku/Deadspin, the controller's design is decent, save for the circular D-pad.
