It may not have the reach of Netflix, but Blockbuster On Demand is on the way up.
While Blockbuster's retail stores are struggling, the On Demand service just may be picking up. After a slow start, it's now available on over 100 different devices, including TVs, Blu-ray players, phones and even the new Samsung Galaxy tablet.
"By providing access to the newest movies across the widest range of electronic devices, we are helping customers get the movies they want any time, any place, and any way they want it," says Blockbuster On Demand VP. "We'll continue to work with our partners to bring entertainment to the masses in ways that meet their lifestyle needs."
In addition to the Galaxy tablet, Blockbuster On Demand has recently launched on a large number of Samsung devices, including the BD-C8000, BD-C5900, BD-C6800 and BD-C7900 Blu-ray players as well as C-5930W, C-6900W, C-6600, and C-9950W home theater systems.
